Works include a Sextet by Vaclav Nehybel;"The Conceited(Pompous)Frog" by Dmitry Tapkoff for narrator and 3 woodwind performers; Qvartet by Dag Wiren; and more   Helene Rosenblatt, flute/piccolo;Peter Standaart -flute/narrator; Janet Rosen, oboe/English Horn;Thomas Labadorf- clarinet/bass clarinet;Chantal Hovendick -clarinet,Tom Hudson-cello, bassoon.  

< February 11, 2007  2 pm - Galleries Concert  "Music by African American Composers"  as a background to an exhibit of African American Visual Artists. Includes the World Premier of "Moambi Asante" for flute, violin and cello by Valerie Coleman (which will also be performed May 13, 2007 in a formal concert). Music by William Grant Still, Scott Joplin, Adolphus Hailstork, Duke Ellington, Paquito D'Rivera and more..........Equal Voicings - Helene Rosenblatt, flute; Mary Ellen Briga, violin; Tom Hudson, cello.

 BLACKLEDGE Flutes  - perform works for multiple flutes of all sizes - Composers include: Betsy Warren, Ellen Levy, Helen Michaelson, Alan Hovahness, Robert Starer, Gary Schocker and many others!!! Duets, trios, quartet, quintets with piccolo,Eb flute, alto flute, bass flute.  Join  Helene Rosenblatt, Dr. Mary Sand, Naomi Senza, Leonor Snow, Peter Staandart for a rousing good time.
